Can a modular building really be used as a vet practice?

The building can be configured around veterinary requirements — room sizes, drainage, power, finishes and separation of public and clinical areas. Clinical specification and any regulatory approvals are confirmed for the individual project.

Can it be an extension to our existing surgery?

Yes. A modular block is commonly used to add consult rooms, imaging space or kennelling alongside an existing building.

How many consultation rooms can we have?

As many as the module count allows — a four-module building comfortably takes two consult rooms plus prep and theatre.

What about x-ray or imaging rooms?

An imaging room can be planned into the layout, but shielding and equipment specification are confirmed with your supplier and radiation protection adviser.

Can we include kennels or recovery space?

Yes, with drainage, wipe-clean finishes and a separate route from the public waiting area.

How long does it take?

Manufacture typically runs to a matter of weeks rather than the months a traditional clinical build takes, with fit-out completed before delivery.

The Adacon P600 modular building measures 5.9m × 2.2m (5900mm × 2200mm) externally, with an approximate usable internal size of 5.8m × 2.1m and an internal floor area of approx. 12.18 m² per module, and costs £10,750 + VAT per module. Each module can include a kitchen, toilet, shower, internal partitions, windows, doors, lighting, sockets and a consumer unit, and modules can be joined side by side or stacked to two storeys.
