    Bathroom Pods & Prefabricated Washrooms

From a single toilet or shower to hundreds of bathrooms for a complete development.

Standalone. Integrated into an existing building. Or manufactured for incorporation into a new development.

Adacon supplies prefabricated bathroom, shower, WC and washroom solutions for projects ranging from individual commercial facilities to large developments requiring repeated bathroom pods. Solutions can be designed for integration into existing buildings, supplied as standalone modular facilities or manufactured for incorporation into new developments.

    What is a bathroom pod?

A bathroom pod is a prefabricated bathroom unit manufactured substantially offsite before being transported to a construction project for positioning, integration and the required final connections.

Bathroom pods can contain sanitaryware, internal finishes, plumbing preparation, electrical elements and other components according to the project specification.

They are commonly used where projects require repeated bathroom installations, including apartment developments, hotels, student accommodation, build-to-rent schemes, housing developments, care facilities and other multi-unit projects.

    Not just for large developments

Bathroom pods are often associated with developments requiring hundreds of identical bathrooms, but Adacon can also consider individual prefabricated toilet, shower and washroom requirements.

From one facility to hundreds of repeated pods.

    Multi-unit bathroom pod projects

Projects can involve 20, 50, 65, 100 or 200+ bathrooms. Where a development contains repeated bathroom layouts, offsite production can allow bathroom manufacture to take place while other construction work continues.

These are potential benefits, assessed per project. Quantities shown are illustrative of the scale of projects that use bathroom pods, not a record of Adacon completed quantities. Savings are never guaranteed.

    Flexible delivery & positioning

Not every prefabricated washroom requires a major crane operation. Depending on the design, weight, access and site conditions, units may be capable of being positioned using equipment such as a forklift or telehandler, while other projects may require a crane or other specialist lifting equipment.

Adacon can consider the delivery and positioning strategy as part of the project design, helping ensure the module is designed not only for the required facilities but also around how it will physically reach its final position.

Access should be considered early in the design process. On an existing-building project we normally look at:

Positioning method is always project-specific. It depends on module dimensions and weight, lifting points, site access, structural design and an approved lifting and handling plan. We do not state that a particular forklift or telehandler is suitable without a project-specific assessment.

Manufactured substantially offsite, delivered to the project, mechanically positioned using a method appropriate to the site and module, and prepared for the required final connections.

    Built around your project

Adacon's modular system includes a range of standard unit sizes that can be configured internally around the individual project. Multiple modules can be combined where larger facilities are required.

For projects where standard module dimensions are not appropriate, bespoke sizes and configurations can also be considered depending on project requirements and scale.

You don't need to know which module you need. Send us your drawings, available dimensions or requirements and our team can propose an appropriate solution.
