Site Welfare Unit Hire
Site welfare units hired by the week are usually small, fixed-layout trailers. Adacon manufactures welfare buildings from modular units instead, so you can hire a building with the number of showers, toilets, kitchen and drying space your actual crew needs — and keep the same building for the whole programme.
Hire terms are flexible — tell us how long you need the unit and we will confirm the rate for that period.
Who hires welfare units
Principal contractors, groundworkers, civils and MEP subcontractors, and site managers on programmes long enough that a fixed-layout welfare trailer stops covering the crew.

How long people hire for
Delivery and collection for hire are quoted separately, based on distance, site access and the lifting equipment required.
What the hire building includes
- —WCs, showers and hand-wash basins in the numbers you specify
- —Kitchen with sink, hot water and appliance provision, or a tea point
- —Drying area for coats, boots and kit
- —Heating, lighting, sockets and a consumer unit
- —An accessible layout where the footprint allows it
Where it needs to stand
- —A level standing, usually compacted hardcore or slab
- —Water supply and foul drainage, or a tank arrangement where none exists
- —Electrical capacity in amps — this decides the heat source and layout
- —Vehicle access for delivery and for the crane or hiab
Sizes come from the modular range: P300 2.9m × 2.2m, P400 3.9m × 2.2m, P600 5.9m × 2.2m, a common 2.2m width and 2.40m external / 2.16m internal height, joined to the footprint you need.

Questions people ask about welfare units hire
How many showers and toilets does my crew need?
It depends on shift patterns rather than headcount alone. Six to eight showers usually covers a 50-strong crew with staggered shift ends; we size the block from your shift pattern before quoting.
Can a hired welfare unit include a kitchen?
Yes. Cooking provision, a tea point or a full preparation kitchen can all be built in, subject to your available power supply and drainage.
Can the welfare building move site during the hire?
Yes. Because it is manufactured from modular units rather than a fixed trailer, it can be repositioned or relocated as the programme moves.
What connections do I need on site?
Power, water and foul drainage. Where mains services are not yet available, tanked water and waste arrangements are possible — tell us what exists on site.
