Modular Buildings with Roof Terraces
Where a ground-floor module is left uncovered by the storey above, its roof can be formed into a usable first-floor terrace with balustrade to the open edges — outdoor space at no extra footprint.

Outdoor space with no extra footprint
A roof terrace only exists where the stacking leaves a ground-floor module exposed, so it is planned with the arrangement rather than added afterwards. Balustrade runs to every open edge and access comes from the first floor.
- Formed over an exposed ground-floor module
- Balustrade to all open edges
- Access from the first-floor interior
- No additional ground footprint
- Planned with the stacking arrangement
- Pairs with full-height glazing to the terrace elevation
Typical arrangements
Two below, one above, with a terrace over the exposed module.
