A compact base for site control

This configuration uses one steel-framed P600 module to create a practical gatehouse for monitoring entrances and managing movement around a site. Its 5.9m x 2.2m footprint is well suited to entrance points where available space is limited, while the approximately 12 m² internal floor area gives security or reception staff a dedicated working environment.

The single-storey format is appropriate for logistics parks, school entrances and gated developments. Extensive glazing across all four exposed elevations supports clear outward views, helping staff observe vehicles, visitors and pedestrians approaching from different directions.

Single-module layout

The building consists of one P600 module arranged over the ground floor. On the north-facing 5.9m wall, two large windows provide a broad field of view along the side of the gatehouse. The east-facing 2.2m end has a further large window, while another large window is positioned in the west-facing 2.2m end.

Access is through a single glazed door on the south-facing 5.9m wall. This door arrangement adds further visibility on the entrance side and keeps access separate from the principal pair of north-facing windows. The internal fit-out includes a WC, giving gatehouse staff an essential facility within the module rather than requiring access to another building.

Exterior finish

The exterior is finished in smooth dark grey cladding, providing a clean, understated appearance suitable for commercial, educational and residential settings. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the overall profile simple and compact.

As a P600 building, the gatehouse is based on Adacon’s modular system and is supplied as a fitted unit rather than an unfinished shell. The specified openings, cladding finish and internal WC are incorporated into this particular configuration.

Delivery, groundworks and site-specific works are quoted separately because access, distance, service requirements and ground conditions differ between sites. Typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, subject to order details, production scheduling and confirmation of the final site requirements. Siting requirements

The module requires a suitable prepared and level base, together with adequate access for delivery and installation equipment. The exact foundation or support arrangement must reflect the site conditions and should be confirmed before delivery. Space should also be allowed around the building for safe installation and ongoing access.

The buyer should establish any planning, utility and site-management requirements that apply to the proposed location. Where the WC is to be connected to site services, the relevant connections and routes must be planned as part of the site-specific works.
