Configuration and scale

This P600 building uses four 5.9m x 2.2m steel-framed modules linked end to end in a single-storey run. The completed footprint is 23.6m x 2.2m, with approximately 49 m² of internal floor area. Its long, narrow arrangement is suitable for installation alongside a pitch, training area or existing clubhouse where available site width may be limited.

Designed for the Sport & Leisure sector, this configuration provides a practical basis for modular changing rooms at football, rugby and cricket clubs. The internal fit-out includes a WC and shower, bringing essential washing and sanitary facilities together within one modular building.

Module-by-module layout

Module 1 forms the western end of the run. Its north-facing 5.9m wall has two high-level, top-only windows. The south-facing wall has a single glazed door positioned between two small windows, providing the building’s external entrance and additional natural light. A further high-level, top-only window is fitted in the exposed 2.2m west end wall.

Module 2 continues the straight run. Both exposed 5.9m walls have two high-level, top-only windows: two on the north elevation and two on the south elevation. Their elevated position is particularly appropriate for changing accommodation, allowing daylight into the building while limiting direct views through the windows.

Module 3 follows the same opening arrangement as Module 2. It has two high-level, top-only windows on its north-facing wall and two on its south-facing wall. This consistent spacing gives the central section of the building a regular external appearance and distributes windows along both long elevations.

Module 4 completes the eastern end. It has two high-level, top-only windows on the north wall and two on the south wall. The exposed 2.2m east end also contains one high-level, top-only window, balancing the window fitted at the opposite end of the building.

External finish and roof

The exterior is finished with horizontal cladding in Anthracite, giving the building a restrained, contemporary appearance suited to sports grounds and club facilities. A dual-pitch apex roof runs over the single-storey configuration, creating a conventional roof profile rather than the flat appearance often associated with temporary units.

Fit-out, price and programme

The indicative price is £48,500 excluding VAT, or £58,200 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described here. This covers the four-module building with the stated cladding, apex roof, door and window arrangement, WC and shower. Delivery, groundworks and other site-specific works are not included and are quoted separately once the location and access requirements have been assessed.

Siting requirements

The building requires a suitable prepared and level base, together with safe access for delivery and installation equipment. Space must be available to manoeuvre the modules into position along the 23.6m run. Drainage, water and electrical connections must be planned for the WC, shower and wider fit-out. Planning requirements, utility routes, ground conditions and any restrictions affecting delivery should be checked for the specific site before the installation programme is agreed.
