A practical base for access control

This P600 configuration is a compact security cabin for the Security & Site Control sector. It gives security staff a defined working position at entrances, exits and checkpoints, with windows arranged to provide visibility on three sides. Typical settings include operational sites, managed car parks and distribution centres where access needs to be monitored and controlled.

The building uses one steel-framed P600 module in a single-storey run layout. Its external footprint is 5.9m x 2.2m, while the internal floor area is approximately 12 m². This size provides a useful enclosed workspace without the site area required for a larger multi-module building.

Module layout and openings

The single ground-floor module contains the complete security cabin and its WC. On the north-facing 5.9m wall, three small windows are positioned along the length of the module. The east-facing 2.2m end has one large window, and the west-facing 2.2m end has a second large window.

A single glazed door is fitted in the south-facing 5.9m wall. Together, the glazed door and five windows provide outward views in each exposed direction specified for the building. The stated north, east, south and west positions refer to the configured elevations and should be considered when deciding how the cabin will face on site.

Exterior and internal fit-out

The exterior is finished with vertical cladding in Black, giving the cabin a clear, restrained appearance suitable for security and gatehouse locations. Above it is a flat roof with a slim fascia, keeping the overall profile simple and compact.

Inside, the module is supplied to the standard fitted specification for this configuration and includes a WC. The WC makes the cabin better suited to staffed security duties where personnel may be based at the access point for extended periods. No additional rooms or facilities are included in this one-module layout unless agreed as part of a revised specification.

Indicative price and programme

The indicative price is £10,750 ex VAT, or £12,900 inc VAT, for the standard fitted specification described here. This covers the configured P600 building with its Black vertical cladding, flat roof and slim fascia, specified door and windows, and internal WC fit-out. Delivery, groundworks and site-specific works are quoted separately, so the final total will depend on the location, access and preparation required.

Typical lead time is 8–12 weeks. The confirmed programme will depend on the agreed specification, order timing, delivery arrangements and whether the site is ready for installation. Any changes made through the P600 configurator may affect both price and lead time.

Siting requirements

The site needs a suitable prepared, level base and clear access for delivery and installation. Ground conditions, available working space and the route to the final position should be checked before delivery is arranged. As the fit-out includes a WC, the site must also have an appropriate water supply and waste connection strategy. Groundworks, service connections, permissions and other site-specific requirements are not included in the indicative building price and must be established for the chosen location.
