Single-storey run layout
This gatehouse uses two steel-framed P600 modules connected in a straight, single-storey run. Together, they create an external footprint of 11.8m x 2.2m and approximately 22.8m² of usable internal area before partitions, based on a conservative per-module allowance. Connected open layouts may provide more usable space, subject to the final room arrangement.
Each module measures 5.9m x 2.2m externally and is 2.40m high, with an internal ceiling height of 2.16m. The approximate usable interior of each module is 5.7m x 2.0m. The linear arrangement is suited to a controlled entrance or boundary where staff need clear views of approaching vehicles, pedestrians and activity around the site. More information about this application is available on the gatehouses page.
Openings and external appearance
Module 1 has a sliding drive-through serving window on its exposed north-facing 5.9m wall. Its south-facing wall contains a single glazed door, while the exposed west end has a full-size window. Module 2 provides two large windows on the north-facing wall and two large windows on the south-facing wall. A further full-size window is positioned in the exposed east end.
This combination gives the stored design multiple outward-facing glazed openings, alongside a dedicated sliding window for communication or document exchange. The exact operational arrangement around the openings will depend on the final internal layout and siting.
The exposed external walls are finished in Grey ARLINE AR14514 fine-ribbed cladding, applied between the frame. The selected boards run vertically across the north and south walls of both modules, the west end of Module 1 and the east end of Module 2, around the specified openings. The building has a flat roof with an approximately 120mm steel-frame fascia and no additional fascia treatment.
Requested WC and internal finishes
A WC has been requested for this configuration, but its position, enclosure and effect on the open internal area remain to be confirmed in the final layout. Where the WC is enclosed as a bathroom space, its walls use 40mm waterproof insulated sandwich panels as standard. Hygienic wall panels are an optional selection. Plaster applies outside bathroom walls when that finish is selected.
Elsewhere, insulated sandwich panels are the included internal wall finish. Any additional partitions, room finishes and associated selections are determined by the agreed layout. Wet-room PVC flooring applies to shower rooms; no shower room is specified in this stored configuration. Other wall and floor finishes must therefore be confirmed as part of the final specification rather than assumed from illustrations. Layout selections can be reviewed through the building configurator.
Price and site considerations
The indicative configured estimate is £27,800 excluding VAT, or £33,360 including VAT, subject to quotation and confirmation of the final layout and finishes. Transport is priced separately according to postcode and site access. Offloading or cranage, groundworks and other site-specific works are also separate.
Placement is subject to a site survey and assessment of access, ground conditions and the intended position. These checks help establish the transport requirements, suitable site works and any project-specific considerations before the order is finalised.
