A self-contained workspace for the garden

This P600 configuration is a compact, single-storey garden office designed for regular work without taking over a large part of the garden. One 5.9m x 2.2m steel-framed module provides approximately 11 m² of internal floor area, giving a home worker or small business owner a defined place to work, meet or manage day-to-day administration away from the main house.

The wide layout makes full use of the module’s 5.9m length while retaining the straightforward footprint of a single unit. It is part of Adacon’s garden office range for the Home & Garden sector and combines working space with its own kitchenette and WC.

Single-module layout

The ground floor contains the complete office and amenity space within one module. The kitchenette provides a convenient area for drinks and light food preparation, while the WC means users do not need to return to the house during the working day. The remaining internal area can be arranged for desks, storage or a small meeting setup according to the buyer’s furniture requirements.

Natural light is provided from every elevation. The north-facing 5.9m wall has three small windows. Each 2.2m end wall — east and west — has one full-size window. On the south-facing 5.9m wall, a single glazed door is positioned between two large windows, creating the main entrance and a strongly glazed outlook towards the terrace.

Exterior finish and terrace

The exterior uses timber cladding with a timber-effect appearance, giving the office a finish suited to a residential garden. Above it, the flat roof is completed with a slim fascia for a restrained roofline. The steel-framed P600 structure remains the basis of the building beneath the external finish.

A covered, ground-level timber terrace deck runs alongside the building. It provides a practical transition between the garden and the glazed entrance, as well as sheltered external space directly beside the office. The ground-level arrangement also avoids the visual bulk of a raised deck.

Indicative price and standard specification

The indicative price is £12,550 ex VAT, or £15,060 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification. This covers the single P600 module with the stated timber-effect cladding, flat roof, windows, glazed door, internal kitchenette and WC, together with the covered timber terrace configuration. The final quotation will confirm the specification against the site and project requirements.

Adacon designs, manufactures and delivers the P600 modular system, with buildings delivered and installed across the UK. A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, subject to specification, order scheduling and the site being ready for delivery and installation. Lead time and programme are confirmed as part of the quotation process.

Preparing the site

The office requires a suitable prepared base, adequate delivery access and enough working clearance for installation. The proposed position should also allow for any required service connections for the kitchenette and WC. Ground conditions, access restrictions, levels, drainage and connection routes must be assessed before installation; any resulting groundwork or site-specific work is priced separately.
