Seven-module welfare layout

This P600 configuration combines seven 5.9m x 2.2m steel-framed modules in a single-storey grid layout. The completed building has an overall footprint of 17.7m x 6.6m and provides approximately 85 m² of internal floor area. It is designed for construction sites that need a substantial welfare building accommodating canteen, drying room, WC and shower functions.

The modules are linked to create one integrated building rather than a row of separate cabins. This gives the internal layout the width needed for shared welfare areas while maintaining a straightforward modular structure. It is a larger option within Adacon’s range of site welfare units.

Door and window arrangement

• Module 1 forms part of the north elevation. Its exposed 5.9m wall has a small window, a glazed double door and a second small window. The exposed west end has one high-level, top-only window.
• Module 2 has three small windows spaced along its exposed north wall.
• Module 3 also has three small windows on the north wall, plus a high-level, top-only window in the exposed east end.
• Module 4 has one high-level, top-only window in its exposed west end.
• Module 5 has three small windows along the exposed south wall.
• Module 6 has three small windows on the south wall and a high-level, top-only window in the east end.
• Module 7 has three small windows along the south wall, with high-level, top-only windows in both the east and west ends.

The glazed double door provides the external entrance on the north elevation. Small windows bring daylight into the main occupied areas, while the high-level windows provide light with greater privacy where required by the internal welfare arrangement.

External finish and internal fit-out

The exterior is finished in smooth Dark grey cladding, giving the building a consistent, low-maintenance appearance suited to an active construction environment. A flat roof with slim fascia keeps the roofline simple and compact. Adacon designs, manufactures and delivers the P600 system, with buildings delivered and installed across the UK.

The modules are finished to a full fit-out standard, and this configuration includes a WC and shower. The approximately 85 m² internal area can support the canteen, drying room and sanitary facilities typically required by larger construction teams. Exact room planning and service positions should be confirmed for the intended site and workforce before manufacture.

Price and programme

The indicative price is £75,250 excluding VAT, or £90,300 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification. This price applies to the stated seven-module configuration and its included fit-out. Delivery, groundworks and any site-specific works are quoted separately, allowing these costs to reflect the location, access and preparation required.

Siting requirements

The building requires a suitable prepared and level base, adequate delivery and installation access, and space around the 17.7m x 6.6m footprint for safe positioning. Required utility connections must be available for the WC and shower facilities. Ground conditions, drainage, service routes, access restrictions and other site-specific requirements should be assessed before delivery because these works are not included in the indicative building price.
