    Configuration and intended use

This P600 configuration combines seven 5.9m x 2.2m steel-framed modules to form a single-storey building with a 17.7m x 6.6m footprint. The linked grid layout provides approximately 85 m² of internal floor area, giving construction teams sufficient space for welfare functions without moving to a two-storey arrangement.

Designed for use as a site welfare unit, the building is suited to projects needing canteen space, a drying room and WC facilities. The included kitchenette, WC and shower support day-to-day use by site personnel, while the modular layout allows the internal accommodation to be organised around the project’s operational requirements.

    Module-by-module layout

Module 1 forms a prominent external corner. Its exposed north-facing 5.9m wall has a small window, a single glazed entrance door and a second small window. A high-level, top-only window is positioned in the exposed west-facing 2.2m end wall.

Module 2 continues the north elevation with three small windows across its exposed 5.9m wall. Module 3 completes this run with a further three small windows on the north side and a high-level, top-only window in its exposed east-facing end wall.

Module 4 has a high-level, top-only window in its exposed west-facing 2.2m end. Module 5 faces south and has three small windows distributed across its exposed 5.9m wall.

Module 6 also contributes to the south elevation, with three small windows along the exposed 5.9m side and a high-level, top-only window in the east-facing end. Module 7 has three small windows on its exposed south-facing side, together with high-level, top-only windows in both its east- and west-facing end walls.

This opening schedule gives the building one clearly defined glazed entrance, regular small windows along the principal north and south elevations, and additional high-level glazing at exposed module ends.

    External finish and internal fit-out

The exterior is finished in smooth Light grey cladding. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the overall appearance simple and appropriate for a working construction environment. Adacon designs, manufactures and delivers the P600 system, with buildings delivered and installed across the UK.

The standard fitted specification for this configuration includes a kitchenette, WC and shower. These facilities make the building suitable for meal breaks, washing and general workforce welfare. Final room arrangements and service positions should be confirmed as part of the project specification before manufacture.

    Price and programme

The indicative price is £75,250 excluding VAT, or £90,300 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described here. This covers the seven-module building configuration, its stated external finish and openings, and the listed kitchenette, WC and shower fit-out. Delivery, groundworks and other site-specific works are quoted separately.

Typical lead time is 8–12 weeks from confirmed specification and order. Programme dates remain subject to design sign-off, production capacity, delivery arrangements and the readiness of the site.

    Preparing the site

The building requires a level, suitably prepared base appropriate for the completed seven-module layout. The site must also provide safe access for delivery vehicles and lifting operations, with sufficient space to position and install each module. Utility routes and connections for the kitchenette, WC and shower must be planned in advance.

Ground conditions, drainage, service availability, access restrictions and any planning or regulatory requirements should be assessed before installation. These items are site-specific and are not included in the indicative building price. The configuration can be reviewed in the P600 configurator before delivery, groundworks and installation requirements are separately confirmed.
