Four modules in a straight run

This configuration uses four P600 steel-framed modules linked end to end in a single-storey run. Each module measures 5.9m by 2.2m, creating an overall footprint of 23.6m by 2.2m and approximately 49 m² of internal floor area. The narrow linear format is suited to construction sites where accommodation needs to follow a boundary, access road or defined compound edge.

Designed for use as a site welfare unit, the building gives site teams space for canteen, drying-room and WC functions without requiring a two-storey installation. The internal arrangement can be planned around operational needs while retaining the specified kitchenette, WC and shower.

    Module-by-module openings

Module 1 forms one end of the run. Its north-facing 5.9m wall has three small windows. The south wall has a small window, a glazed double door and a second small window, creating the main entrance and allowing daylight on both sides. A high-level, top-only window is fitted to the exposed west end wall.

Module 2 has three small windows on its north wall and three small windows on its south wall. As an internal module within the run, its two end walls connect to the adjoining modules.

Module 3 follows the same opening arrangement, with three small windows along the north wall and three along the south wall. Its end connections continue the internal space through the building.

Module 4 completes the run. It has three small windows on the north wall and three on the south wall, plus a high-level, top-only window in the exposed east end. Across the configuration, the repeated side windows provide regular natural light, while the high-level end windows add privacy at both ends.

    External finish and roof

The exterior is finished in smooth Dark grey cladding for a clean, straightforward appearance suited to an active construction environment. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the overall profile low and consistent along the full 23.6m run.

    Internal welfare fit-out

The standard fitted specification includes a kitchenette, WC and shower. These facilities support day-to-day welfare provision for construction personnel, including meal breaks, washing and changing routines. The available floor area also provides a practical basis for allocating canteen seating and drying-room space according to workforce numbers and site procedures.

The P600 system can be reviewed in more detail through the P600 configurator. Any changes to the specified openings, internal arrangement or fit-out may affect the final quotation and programme.

    Indicative price and exclusions

The indicative price for this four-module building in the standard fitted specification is £43,000 excluding VAT, or £51,600 including VAT. This covers the four-module configuration, specified external finish and openings, and the kitchenette, WC and shower fit-out. Delivery, groundworks and site-specific works are quoted separately because access, location, foundations and service requirements vary between construction sites.

    Typical lead time

A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks. The confirmed programme will depend on specification approval, production capacity, delivery planning and any site-specific requirements. Changes made after the layout and finishes have been agreed can affect both timing and cost.

    Siting requirements

The building requires a suitable prepared and level base, clear delivery access and sufficient working space for safe unloading and installation. The site must also be ready for the required utility and drainage connections serving the kitchenette, WC and shower. Groundworks, service connections, access constraints and other site-specific installation requirements are assessed and priced separately before delivery.
