A wide, single-storey welfare layout
This configuration combines four P600 modules side by side to create a 5.9m x 8.8m footprint. The resulting building provides approximately 46 m² of internal floor area on one level, giving construction teams a practical amount of space for canteen, drying room and WC facilities without adding a second storey.
Each steel-framed module measures 5.9m x 2.2m. Linking all four across their long sides creates a broad internal layout that can support separate welfare functions within one connected building. It is a purpose-designed option for buyers comparing permanent-quality modular accommodation with conventional temporary site cabins. Further applications can be viewed on the site welfare units page.
Module-by-module arrangement
Module 1 forms the northern edge of the building. Its exposed 5.9m north wall has a single glazed entrance door positioned between two small windows. The exposed east and west 2.2m end walls each have one top-only high-level window, introducing daylight while retaining privacy and usable wall space below.
Modules 2 and 3 sit between the two outer modules. Each has a top-only high-level window on both exposed 2.2m ends: one to the east and one to the west. These openings provide balanced daylight across the central parts of the wide floor plan without requiring additional doors on the end elevations.
Module 4 forms the southern edge. Its exposed south-facing 5.9m wall contains three small windows. Like the other modules, it also has top-only high-level windows on the exposed east and west ends. Across the complete building, the window arrangement serves the full 8.8m width while the single glazed door provides a clear main entrance on the north elevation.
Exterior finish and internal fit-out
The exterior is finished in dark grey horizontal cladding, with a flat roof and slim fascia. The restrained finish is suited to working construction environments and gives the joined modules the appearance of one coordinated building rather than four separate cabins.
The standard fitted specification includes a kitchenette, WC and shower. Together with the approximately 46 m² floor area, these facilities allow the building to be organised around everyday site welfare needs, including meal breaks, changing or drying space, washing and toilet provision. Exact operational use of the remaining internal space can be planned around workforce numbers and site requirements.
Price and programme
The indicative price is £43,000 ex VAT, or £51,600 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described here. This covers the four-module building with the stated external finish, door and window arrangement, kitchenette, WC and shower. Delivery, groundworks and any site-specific works are quoted separately, so the final project cost will depend on location, access and site conditions.
A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks. Programme dates should be confirmed against the required specification, site readiness and delivery schedule. Adacon designs, manufactures and delivers the P600 system, with buildings delivered and installed across the UK. Alternative arrangements can be explored using the P600 configurator.
Preparing the site
The building requires a suitable level base or foundation arrangement prepared for the site conditions. The site must also provide sufficient access for module delivery, offloading and installation. Positions for power, water, drainage and other required services should be coordinated before installation. Groundworks, service connections and other site-specific works are not included in the indicative building price and are assessed separately.
