Single-Module Gatehouse with WC

A compact building for staffed entrances

This P600 configuration is a practical gatehouse for locations that need a permanent, visible point of security and site control. Its single-module format keeps the footprint compact while providing approximately 12 m² of internal floor area for an attendant, monitoring equipment, paperwork and day-to-day gate management.

The building measures 5.9m long by 2.2m wide and is arranged over one storey. This makes it suitable for entrance points where available space is limited, including logistics park access lanes, school boundaries and the controlled entrances of gated developments.

Single-module layout

Module 1 contains the complete gatehouse layout. The open internal area can be organised around the operational requirements of the site, while the included WC allows staff to remain close to the entrance without relying entirely on facilities in another building. The precise positioning of loose furniture, security equipment and customer-supplied systems can be considered as part of the final site plan.

The module is supplied as one complete steel-framed P600 building. There are no internal links between modules, stairs or upper-floor areas in this configuration, which simplifies circulation and keeps the whole gatehouse on one accessible level.

Doors, windows and visibility

The window arrangement provides broad views around the gatehouse. The north-facing 5.9m wall has two large windows. A further large window is fitted to the east 2.2m end, and another large window is positioned in the west 2.2m end.

Access is through a single glazed door in the south-facing 5.9m wall. Together, the glazed door and four large windows create clear sightlines for observing approaching vehicles, pedestrians and activity around the controlled entrance. The stated orientation describes this exact configuration and should be checked against the intended traffic flow and site layout before installation.

External finish and roof

The exterior is finished in vertical Anthracite cladding, giving the gatehouse a restrained, professional appearance suited to commercial, education and residential settings. The flat roof is completed with a slim fascia, maintaining the clean profile of the single-storey module.

Adacon designs, manufactures and delivers the P600 system, with buildings delivered and installed across the UK. The modular format provides a clearly defined product rather than a site-built shell, with the specified external openings and internal WC incorporated into the fitted configuration.

Price and standard specification

The indicative price is £10,750 excluding VAT, or £12,900 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification. This covers the single P600 module in the stated configuration, including its Anthracite external finish, flat roof with slim fascia, listed glazed door and windows, and internal WC fit-out.

Delivery, groundworks and site-specific works are not included and are quoted separately. Any customer-specific security equipment, furniture, communications systems, access-control equipment or other items not stated in the configuration brief also need to be assessed separately. Lead time and siting requirements

A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, subject to final specification, site information and production scheduling. The programme should also allow for any required permissions, preparation work and service arrangements before delivery.

The gatehouse requires a suitable, level prepared base appropriate to the site conditions. Safe delivery and installation access must be available for the module and installation operations. Groundworks, WC service connections and other site-specific requirements should be established before manufacture, with delivery and installation planned around access restrictions and the operation of the entrance.
