    Compact capacity across two floors

    This configuration uses eight 5.9m x 2.2m P600 steel-framed modules, arranged four per floor to create a two-storey building. The completed footprint is 11.8m x 4.4m, with approximately 91 m² of internal floor area. It is designed for primary and secondary schools seeking additional teaching space through a practical modular classroom solution.

    Ground-floor layout and openings

    Module 1 forms part of the north and west elevations. Its north-facing wall has a large window, a pair of glazed entrance doors and a second large window. A further large window is fitted in the exposed west end. Module 2 continues the north elevation with two large windows, plus one large window in its exposed east end.

    On the opposite side, Module 3 has two large windows along its exposed south wall and one large window in the west end. Module 4 completes the ground floor with two large south-facing windows and a large window in its exposed east end. This gives the lower floor extensive glazing on every external elevation, with the main entrance positioned on the north side.

    First-floor arrangement

    The first floor uses four further modules with smaller windows. Module 5 has three small windows on the north side and two in the west end. Module 6 has three small north-facing windows and two in the east end. Module 7 provides three small windows to the south and two to the west, while Module 8 has three small south-facing windows and two in the east end. An external steel staircase provides access to the upper floor from outside the building.

    External finish

    Horizontal Dark grey cladding gives the classroom block a consistent, restrained appearance suitable for a school site. The flat roof is finished with a slim fascia, keeping the overall profile simple despite the two-storey arrangement.     Internal fit-out

    The standard fitted specification for this configuration includes a kitchenette and WC. These facilities support day-to-day classroom use without requiring pupils or staff to rely entirely on the main school building. The P600 system is supplied to a full fit-out standard, with final site-specific details agreed before manufacture.

    Indicative price and scope

    The indicative price is £86,000 excluding VAT, or £103,200 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described here. Delivery, groundworks and site-specific works are quoted separately because access, foundations, service requirements and installation conditions vary between school sites. Any changes made through the P600 configurator may also affect the final quotation.

    Programme and siting requirements

    A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, subject to specification approval, production capacity and site readiness. Before delivery, the school must establish a suitable location, confirm any required permissions and arrange appropriate groundworks for the site conditions. Delivery routes, installation access, lifting space and connections for relevant services must also be assessed. These items are reviewed separately so that the building, site preparation and installation plan are properly coordinated.
