Practical teaching space across five modules

This configuration combines five steel-framed P600 modules in a single-storey grid layout. Each module measures 5.9m x 2.2m, creating an overall footprint of 17.7m x 4.4m and approximately 61 m² of usable internal floor area. It provides a substantial teaching environment without requiring a two-storey building.

The modular format allows the units to be delivered to site and linked together during installation. The completed building has smooth light grey external cladding, a flat roof and a slim fascia for a clean, straightforward appearance.

External layout, module by module

The window and door arrangement is distributed across the exposed walls to bring daylight into the building from several directions:

• Module 1 has two large windows and one single glazed door on its north 5.9m wall, plus a large window on its west 2.2m end.
• Module 2 has two large windows on its exposed north 5.9m wall.
• Module 3 has two large windows on the north wall, one large window on the east end and two large windows on the south wall.
• Module 4 has two large windows on its south 5.9m wall and one large window on its west 2.2m end.
• Module 5 has one large window on its east 2.2m end and two large windows on its south 5.9m wall.

Across the complete configuration, there are 16 large windows and one single glazed entrance door. The door is positioned in Module 1 on the north-facing elevation.

Internal fit-out

The standard fitted specification includes a kitchenette and WC, supporting day-to-day classroom use without relying entirely on facilities in the main school building. The remaining internal area can be planned around the school’s intended teaching use, furniture requirements and pupil numbers. Final service positions and internal arrangements are coordinated for the individual project.

Designed for school capacity projects

This building is intended for primary and secondary schools expanding their available teaching space. Its single-storey format makes it suitable for sites where straightforward access and a relatively low profile are priorities. Price and programme

The indicative price is £53,750 ex VAT, or £64,500 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described here. This covers the five-module building with the stated exterior, doors, windows, kitchenette and WC. Delivery, groundworks and site-specific works are not included and are quoted separately once the location and site requirements have been assessed.

A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks. The confirmed programme will depend on the final specification, site readiness and installation schedule.

Preparing the site

The site must have suitable access for delivery and installation, together with prepared groundworks appropriate to the project. Space around the proposed building should be checked for delivery vehicles and installation operations. Electrical, water and drainage requirements must also be established for the kitchenette and WC. Planning requirements, service connections and any other site-specific works should be confirmed before installation; these items are assessed and priced separately.
