Classroom space in a straight four-module run
This configuration uses four linked P600 modules to create a single-storey modular classroom measuring 23.6m long by 2.2m wide. The building provides approximately 49 m² of internal floor area, making it a practical option for primary and secondary schools expanding capacity where available site width is limited. Its linear arrangement creates one continuous building, with windows distributed along both long elevations and at each end.
Module-by-module layout
Module 1 forms the western end of the building and contains the main glazed entrance. Its north-facing 5.9m wall has three small windows. The south-facing wall has a single glazed door positioned between two large windows, bringing daylight into the entrance end of the classroom. A further large window is fitted to the exposed 2.2m west end.
Module 2 continues the classroom run. Three small windows are fitted along its north-facing wall, with another three small windows on the south-facing wall. This balanced arrangement provides openings on both sides of the module without introducing an additional external door.
Module 3 follows the same opening pattern as Module 2. It has three small windows on the north elevation and three small windows on the south elevation, maintaining consistent daylight along the central section of the building.
Module 4 completes the eastern end. Its north-facing wall has three small windows, while its south-facing wall also has three small windows. The exposed 2.2m east end includes one large window, giving the building large end windows at both ends of the full 23.6m run.
Exterior finish and internal fit-out
The exterior is finished in smooth Dark grey cladding, giving the classroom a restrained, contemporary appearance suitable for an education site. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the overall profile simple. The specified window arrangement comprises 21 small windows and four large windows across the complete building, together with the single glazed external door in Module 1.
The internal fit-out includes a kitchenette and WC, allowing the building to support day-to-day school use without relying entirely on facilities in the main school building. Their final internal positions can be coordinated as part of the detailed layout process, subject to the requirements of the standard fitted specification.
Price and programme
The indicative price is £43,000 excluding VAT, or £51,600 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described. Delivery, groundworks and any site-specific works are not included in this figure and are quoted separately once the location, access and site conditions have been reviewed. Buyers can use the P600 configurator to review the selected building arrangement and openings.
A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks. The final programme depends on design sign-off, current production capacity, site readiness and delivery arrangements. Groundworks and service preparations should be coordinated so the site is ready before installation.
Siting requirements
The building requires a suitable prepared and level base for all four modules. The site must also provide adequate delivery vehicle and installation access, including sufficient room for unloading and positioning the modules. Connections for power, water and drainage will be required for the kitchenette and WC. Planning, Building Regulations requirements, utility routes and any access restrictions must be assessed for the individual school site.
