Straight-run layout for access control

This configuration uses two P600 modules linked end to end in a single-storey run. The completed building has an overall footprint of 11.8m x 2.2m and provides approximately 23 m² of internal floor area. Its long, narrow format makes it practical for boundary positions, vehicle entrances and controlled access points where available site width may be limited.

Module 1 forms the western end of the building. Its north-facing 5.9m wall contains three small windows, while the south-facing wall has the building’s single glazed entrance door. A full-size window is fitted in the exposed 2.2m west end, providing a clear outward view from that end of the cabin.

Module 2 continues the run to the east. Three small windows are fitted along its north-facing wall, with a further three small windows on the south-facing wall. The exposed 2.2m east end has a full-size window. Together, these openings provide observation points along both long sides and at each end of the building.

The arrangement is designed for security and site-control duties rather than unnecessary complexity. Staff have one clearly defined entrance, multiple viewing positions and enough internal space for day-to-day monitoring and access-management functions. Exterior finish and internal provision

The exterior is finished in smooth black cladding, giving the cabin a clean, understated appearance suitable for commercial sites, car parks and distribution centres. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the overall profile simple and consistent across the full 11.8m run.

The internal fit-out includes a WC, allowing the building to support staffed security operations without relying entirely on separate welfare facilities. The exact service connections and site arrangements for the WC must be established before installation, as these depend on the available utilities and drainage at the intended location.

Price, programme and site preparation

The indicative price is £21,500 excluding VAT, or £25,800 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification of this configured building. Delivery, groundworks and site-specific works are not included in that figure and are quoted separately once the location, access conditions and installation requirements have been assessed.

A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, subject to order confirmation, production capacity and final approval of the specification. The site will need a suitable prepared base capable of supporting the two modules, together with safe delivery and installation access. Space for unloading and lifting must be considered, particularly at busy entrances or constrained car parks. Utility routes, drainage for the WC, levels, boundaries and any site-specific permissions should be confirmed before installation. Groundworks and other enabling works are assessed and priced separately rather than assumed within the building price.
