Practical space for security and site control

This two-module P600 building is configured as a single-storey gatehouse for controlling access, monitoring arrivals and supporting on-site security staff. The modules are linked in a straight run to create an overall footprint of 11.8m x 2.2m, with approximately 23 m² of internal floor area.

The long, narrow format makes the building well suited to entrance lanes, perimeter boundaries and other locations where space may be restricted. Typical buyers include logistics parks, schools and gated developments requiring a permanent, clearly defined base for security and site control. Module-by-module layout

Module 1 forms one end of the run. Its exposed north-facing 5.9m wall contains two large windows, while the exposed west 2.2m end has a further large window. A single glazed door is positioned in the south-facing 5.9m wall, providing the external entrance to the building.

Module 2 continues the building in line with Module 1. Its exposed north-facing 5.9m wall also has two large windows. The exposed east 2.2m end includes one large window, while the south-facing 5.9m wall contains two more large windows. Across both modules, the window arrangement provides outward views on the north, east, south and west elevations.

The internal fit-out includes a WC, giving personnel access to essential facilities within the gatehouse. The remaining internal area provides a practical open footprint that can support the buyer’s chosen security, reception or site-control arrangement without changing the specified external configuration.

Exterior finish and roof

The exterior is finished in smooth Dark grey cladding for a clean, understated appearance suited to commercial entrances, school boundaries and residential access points. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the profile simple and contemporary. The glazed entrance door and eight large windows give the building an open appearance while supporting visibility around the site entrance.

Price and standard specification

The indicative price is £21,500 excluding VAT, or £25,800 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described here. This covers the two-module, single-storey P600 configuration with its specified Dark grey exterior, flat roof, glazed door, large windows and internal WC.

Lead time and siting requirements

A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, with the project programme confirmed for the individual order. Before delivery, the site must have suitable access for the modules to be brought into position, together with an appropriately prepared and level base. Groundworks must reflect the site’s actual conditions.

The WC will require suitable service connections, including water and drainage, with final requirements established for the site. Space must also be allowed for safe delivery and installation.
