Single-Module Secure Storage Unit with Roller Shutter

A compact lock-up for construction sites

This configuration uses one steel-framed P600 module in a single-storey grid layout. Its external footprint is 5.9m x 2.2m, providing approximately 12 m² of internal floor area. The straightforward open layout is intended for storing tools, materials, equipment and other site items without dividing the available space into separate rooms.

Single-module internal layout

Module 1 forms the complete ground-floor building. There are no internal partitions and no wet fit-out, leaving the floor area open for the buyer to organise around their own storage requirements. The absence of a WC, sink or other wet facilities also keeps this configuration focused on its primary purpose as a construction-sector lock-up.

The south-facing 5.9m wall contains the main access points. A full-size roller shutter provides a wide opening for moving bulky tools, materials or equipment into the unit. Alongside it is a glazed double door, giving a separate pedestrian entrance without requiring the roller shutter to be opened for routine access.

High-level windows and external finish

Natural light is provided by top-only, high-level windows on three sides. Two are positioned along the exposed north-facing 5.9m wall. One high-level window is fitted to the east 2.2m end wall, with a further high-level window on the west 2.2m end wall. Their elevated position brings daylight into the open storage area while limiting low-level views into the building.

Externally, the module is finished with horizontal cladding in dark grey. A flat roof with a slim fascia gives the building a clean, compact profile suitable for an active site, trade yard or business premises. The modular structure also allows the specification to remain clearly defined and straightforward to price.

Indicative price and specification

The indicative price is £10,750 excluding VAT, or £12,900 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification. This price relates to the single P600 module in its standard fitted form, including the stated external finish, flat roof, doors, roller shutter, windows and open internal arrangement. The final project quotation will confirm the selected specification.

Lead time and siting requirements

A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, subject to confirmation when the order and final specification are agreed. Programme dates should also allow for site preparation, delivery planning and installation.

The unit requires a suitable prepared and level base, together with clear access for the delivery vehicle and installation process. Available working space, overhead restrictions, gates, road conditions and the route into the site should be checked before delivery. Ground conditions and any site-specific requirements must be assessed so that the appropriate groundwork and siting arrangements can be included in the project quotation.
