Practical storage for construction sites
This single-module P600 configuration is designed as a secure storage unit for contractors, tradespeople and businesses working across the construction sector. Its open internal space can accommodate tools, materials and equipment without fixed partitions or wet facilities taking up valuable floor area. Three full-size roller shutters provide flexible access when loading or retrieving bulky items.
The building uses one 5.9m x 2.2m steel-framed P600 module in a wide, single-storey layout. It provides approximately 12 m² of internal floor area while retaining a compact footprint that can be positioned within a working site, contractor’s yard or other managed premises. Further applications for modular site buildings can be found in our construction sector range.
Module layout and access
The ground-floor module contains one open storage area with no internal subdivisions. On the north-facing 5.9m wall, two top-only windows are positioned at high level. These bring daylight into the unit while keeping the main wall area available for storage arrangements. The east-facing 2.2m end has one full-size roller shutter.
The south-facing 5.9m wall combines a full-size roller shutter, a single glazed entrance door and one small window. This gives users a separate personnel entrance as well as direct access for larger equipment or materials. The west-facing 2.2m end has a third full-size roller shutter, allowing the storage space to be approached from either end where the site layout permits.
Because the configuration has openings on every exposed wall, its final orientation should be considered carefully. Space must be retained outside each roller shutter for safe operation, loading and site movement. The glazed door also needs a clear pedestrian route that does not conflict with vehicles, stored materials or active working areas.
External finish and internal specification
The exterior is finished in Light grey horizontal cladding, giving the module a clean, straightforward appearance suited to construction sites and commercial yards. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the overall profile simple. The steel-framed module is supplied to the standard fitted specification represented by this configuration, including the listed external finish, shutters, door and windows.
Internally, the unit is left as open storage space. There is no wet fit-out, WC, sink or kitchenette in this configuration. That makes the full internal area available for the buyer’s own storage method, subject to appropriate loading, access and safety considerations. Alternative P600 layouts can be explored using the P600 configurator.
Price and quotation scope
The indicative price is £10,750 excluding VAT, or £12,900 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification. This price relates to the single P600 module and the configuration described here. Delivery, groundworks and any site-specific works are not included in the indicative figure and are quoted separately once the location, access and installation requirements have been assessed.
Typical lead time is 8–12 weeks. The programme is confirmed when the specification, site details and order are agreed. Timing can be affected by project requirements, delivery arrangements and work needed to prepare the site, so buyers should allow for surveys, approvals and groundworks before the planned installation date.
Preparing the site
The unit requires a suitable prepared base and correctly positioned bearing points for the modular structure. Delivery and installation access must be checked for the transport vehicle and lifting operation, with sufficient room around the intended location. The buyer should also confirm site drainage, boundaries, overhead restrictions and any applicable planning or building control requirements before installation.
- Allow clear access to all three roller shutters.
- Provide a safe pedestrian route to the glazed door.
- Complete required groundworks before the agreed delivery date.
- Keep the delivery and lifting area free from obstructions.
