4-Module Toilet and Shower Block

A practical four-module run layout

This toilet and shower block combines four steel-framed P600 modules in a single straight run. Each module measures 5.9m by 2.2m, creating an overall footprint of 23.6m by 2.2m and approximately 46 m² of internal floor area. The long, narrow arrangement is particularly useful where facilities need to sit alongside a site boundary, access route or established row of buildings.

Designed for the Construction sector, the configuration provides fitted WC and shower facilities for large construction sites. It is also suitable for holiday parks and campsites requiring a dedicated toilet and shower block with a compact footprint and clearly positioned entrance.

Module-by-module arrangement

Module 1 forms the entrance end of the building. Its south-facing 5.9m wall has a double-door glazed entrance positioned between two small windows. A high-level, top-only window is fitted to the north-facing wall, with a further high-level, top-only window in the exposed west end wall.

Module 2 continues the run with one high-level, top-only window on its north-facing wall and another on its south-facing wall. There are no external doors in this module.

Module 3 follows the same external arrangement as Module 2. It has high-level, top-only windows on both the north and south walls, maintaining consistent daylight along the middle of the building without adding another external entrance.

Module 4 completes the run at the eastern end. It has high-level, top-only windows on its north and south walls, plus an additional high-level, top-only window in the exposed east end wall. Across the complete building, the window arrangement provides daylight from both sides and both exposed ends.

Internal fit-out and external finish

The internal fit-out includes WC and shower facilities. Adacon designs, manufactures and delivers the complete modular building to a full fit-out standard, with the sanitary layout prepared as part of the standard fitted specification. Final service positions and site connections are coordinated against the agreed project requirements.

Externally, the building is finished in Dark grey horizontal cladding. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the profile simple and consistent across the four connected modules. The glazed double-door entrance and flanking small windows provide a clear main access point, while the remaining openings are high-level, top-only windows.

Price and standard specification

The indicative price is £43,000 excluding VAT, or £51,600 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described here. This covers the four-module, single-storey building with its stated external finish, doors, windows, WC and shower fit-out. Delivery, groundworks and other site-specific works are quoted separately because access, distance, service requirements and ground conditions vary between locations.

Lead time and siting requirements

A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks from order and approval of the final specification. The programme should also allow for site preparation, delivery planning and connection of the building to the required services.

The installation area must be accessible for delivery and provide sufficient working space around the 23.6m by 2.2m footprint. A suitable level base or agreed foundation arrangement is required before installation. Water supply, drainage and any required electrical services must be brought to the agreed connection points. Groundworks, service runs, local permissions and site-specific enabling works are not included in the indicative building price and are assessed separately.
