4-Module Toilet and Shower Block

A practical four-module washroom building

This P600 configuration uses four linked steel-framed modules to create a long, single-storey toilet and shower block. Each module measures 5.9m x 2.2m, giving the complete building a footprint of 23.6m x 2.2m and approximately 49 m² of internal floor area. Module-by-module layout

Module 1 forms one end of the run and contains the building’s external entrance. Its south-facing 5.9m wall has a glazed double door positioned between two small windows, creating a clear and well-lit point of entry. The opposite north wall has a top-only high-level window. A further top-only high-level window is installed in the exposed west-facing 2.2m end wall.

Module 2 continues the straight run. Its exposed north and south 5.9m walls each have one top-only high-level window. This arrangement introduces daylight while limiting direct views into the washroom accommodation.

Module 3 follows the same external window arrangement as Module 2, with one top-only high-level window on both the north and south 5.9m walls. The repeated positioning gives the central section of the building a consistent external appearance.

Module 4 completes the opposite end of the run. It has top-only high-level windows on the north and south 5.9m walls, plus another top-only high-level window in the exposed east-facing 2.2m end wall. Across the four modules, the only external door is the glazed double entrance in Module 1.

External finish and internal fit-out

The exterior is finished in smooth Dark grey cladding. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the profile simple and appropriate for working sites, parks and campsite settings. The linked modules are supplied as one coordinated building rather than separate portable cabins.

Price and programme

The indicative price is £43,000 excluding VAT, or £51,600 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described. This covers the four-module building with the stated Dark grey finish, flat roof, listed doors and windows, and WC and shower fit-out. Delivery, groundworks and any site-specific works are quoted separately because access, distance, ground conditions and connection requirements vary between locations.

A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks. The programme depends on specification approval, production scheduling and site readiness, so delivery planning should begin before the building is required on site.

Siting requirements

The building requires a suitable level, prepared base and adequate access for delivery and installation. Ground conditions, final support arrangements and vehicle access must be assessed for the individual site. Space should also be allowed for positioning the four-module run and completing the necessary site connections for the WC and shower facilities. Groundworks, service connections and other location-specific requirements are not included in the indicative building price.
