4-Module Site Welfare Unit with WC and Shower

A wide, single-storey welfare building

This configuration uses four steel-framed P600 modules linked side by side to form a wide 5.9m x 8.8m building. The completed unit provides approximately 46 m² of internal floor area on one level, giving construction teams space for canteen and drying-room functions alongside the included kitchenette, WC and shower. It is designed as a practical site welfare unit for active construction sites.

Each module measures 5.9m x 2.2m. In this arrangement, the modules run from north to south, with Module 1 forming the northern side and Module 4 forming the southern side. The linked layout creates a broad internal floorplate without the access requirements of a two-storey building.

Module-by-module layout

• Module 1 forms the north side of the building. Its exposed 5.9m north wall has a double-leaf glazed door set positioned between two small windows. The exposed east and west ends each have two small windows.
• Module 2 sits immediately south of Module 1. Its long walls connect to the adjoining modules, while its exposed east and west ends each contain two small windows.
• Module 3 continues the central part of the building. As with Module 2, there are two small windows in the exposed east end and two in the exposed west end.
• Module 4 forms the southern side. Its exposed south wall has three small windows, while both the east and west ends have two small windows each.

Across the complete building, the specification provides 21 small windows. The main entrance is the glazed double-leaf door set on the north elevation. Window openings are distributed across the north, south, east and west elevations, providing daylight around the wide floorplate.

Exterior and internal fit-out

The exterior is finished with horizontal cladding in Anthracite. A flat roof and slim fascia keep the profile simple and suitable for a working construction environment. Adacon designs, manufactures and delivers the P600 system, with completed buildings delivered and installed across the UK.

The internal fit-out includes a kitchenette, WC and shower. These facilities support day-to-day welfare provision for site personnel, while the remaining internal area can serve the construction site's required canteen and drying-room functions. Final space planning should reflect workforce numbers, operational needs and any site-specific requirements.

Price and typical lead time

The indicative price is £43,000 excluding VAT, or £51,600 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described here. Delivery, groundworks and site-specific works are not included and are quoted separately. Preparing the site

The building requires a suitable prepared base for its 5.9m x 8.8m footprint, together with adequate access for delivery vehicles and installation operations. The site must also allow for the required water, drainage and electrical connections serving the kitchenette, WC and shower. Ground conditions, levels, access restrictions, lifting requirements and utility connection points should be established before installation, as these affect the separately quoted groundworks and site-specific works.
