4-Module Single-Storey Modular Classroom

Configuration overview

This single-storey modular classroom uses four P600 steel-framed modules linked in a straight run, creating an external footprint of 23.6m x 2.2m. Each module measures 5.9m x 2.2m and is 2.40m high externally, with a 2.16m internal ceiling. The approximate usable interior of each module is 5.7m x 2.0m, giving the complete building around 46 m² of internal usable floor area.

The long, linear arrangement is intended for the Education sector, particularly primary and secondary schools expanding classroom capacity. Further context for this use can be found under modular classrooms.

Windows, entrance and module arrangement

Module 1 forms the western end of the run. Its north elevation has two large windows, while its south elevation has a large window, a glazed double door and a second large window. The exposed west end has one full-size window. Modules 2 and 3 each have two large windows on the north elevation and two large windows on the south elevation. Module 4 completes the eastern end, with two large windows to the north, two large windows to the south and one full-size window in its exposed east end.

Selected exterior

The exposed outside walls use standard insulated sandwich panels in Light Grey, RAL 7035, with a smooth finish. This selection applies to the north, south and west exposed walls of Module 1; the north and south exposed walls of Modules 2 and 3; and the north, south and east exposed walls of Module 4. Final fixture, finish and interface details are confirmed by quotation.

The building has a flat roof with an approximately 120mm steel-frame fascia. No additional fascia has been selected for this configuration.

Requested internal fit-out

A kitchenette and WC have been requested, with their positions and final layout still to be confirmed. The WC area requires hygienic wall panels and wet-room PVC flooring. Elsewhere, the included internal wall finish is white, lightly ribbed insulated sandwich panelling. The final arrangement should account for the linear floor plan, window positions and the glazed double-door entrance.

Plasterboard, alternative hygienic-panel styles and room-by-room flooring selections are available as choices or upgrades rather than included specifications for this stored design. These details, together with the kitchenette and WC layout, can be reviewed as part of the final configuration and quotation process.

Estimate and site considerations

The indicative configured estimate is £51,600 ex VAT, or £61,920 including VAT, subject to quotation. Transport is priced separately according to the delivery postcode and site access. Offloading or cranage, groundworks and other site-specific works are also separate and are not included in the indicative estimate.

Siting remains subject to survey and confirmation of access, ground conditions and project-specific requirements. The intended position must be assessed for transport approach, offloading or cranage needs and suitable groundworks. Any necessary site preparation, service connections or other location-dependent works will be established for the individual school site and reflected in the final quotation.
