A practical layout for retail

This four-module P600 building is configured as a wide, single-storey modular shop for the Retail & Hospitality sector. Its 5.9m x 8.8m footprint provides approximately 49 m² of internal floor area, giving independent retailers, farm shops and pop-up operators a practical space for customer-facing retail, displays and day-to-day operations.

The four 5.9m x 2.2m modules are linked side by side. This arrangement creates a broad retail layout rather than a long, narrow building, while retaining the repeatable dimensions and straightforward installation approach of the P600 system. Openings by module

Module 1 forms the principal north elevation. Its exposed 5.9m wall has a single glazed door positioned between two large windows, creating a clear customer entrance with glazing on both sides. The exposed east and west 2.2m ends each have a full-size window.

Module 2 sits within the wide arrangement. It has a full-size window on both exposed 2.2m ends: one on the east elevation and one on the west elevation.

Module 3 follows the same opening pattern as Module 2, with full-size windows on its exposed east and west ends. These openings bring natural light into the middle of the combined shop layout.

Module 4 completes the configuration. It has full-size windows on the exposed east and west ends, plus two large windows on the exposed 5.9m south wall. Together with the glazed north elevation, this gives the building windows around every exposed side.

Exterior finish

The exterior is finished in Black vertical cladding, giving the shop a defined, contemporary appearance suited to rural retail sites, visitor destinations and temporary trading locations. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the roofline visually restrained and maintains the building’s straightforward single-storey profile.

Internal fit-out

This configuration is supplied to the standard fitted specification and includes a WC. The broad internal floor area can support product displays, customer circulation and service points, although loose furniture, counters, shelving and specialist retail equipment are not listed as part of this configuration. Their final positions can therefore be planned around the operator’s trading requirements.

Indicative price

The indicative price is £43,000 excluding VAT, or £51,600 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described. This price basis covers the four-module building with the stated cladding, roof form, door and window arrangement, and WC. Delivery, groundworks and any site-specific works are quoted separately because access, ground conditions, service requirements and installation arrangements vary by location.

Programme and specification
