A compact office for construction sites

This P600 configuration combines three 5.9m x 2.2m steel-framed modules to create a permanent-quality site office over two storeys. Two modules form the ground floor, with a third module at first-floor level. The result is approximately 34 m² of internal floor area while retaining a 5.9m x 4.4m ground footprint. Ground-floor layout

Module 1 forms part of the ground floor and contains the building’s external entrance. Its exposed north wall has a single glazed door positioned between two large windows, creating a well-lit principal office area and a clear point of access. The exposed east and west ends each have one large window.

Module 2 sits alongside Module 1 to complete the 5.9m x 4.4m footprint. Its exposed south wall has three small windows arranged across the 5.9m elevation. One large window is fitted to the east end and another large window to the west end, providing daylight from three sides.

The two ground-floor modules link internally to form a practical working level. The standard fitted specification includes a WC, giving site teams an essential facility within the building rather than requiring a separate unit.

First-floor accommodation

Module 3 creates the upper floor and is reached by an internal staircase, which is not visible externally. The first-floor module has three small windows on the north side and three on the south side. Both 2.2m end walls have two small windows. This balanced arrangement provides daylight around the upper-level workspace while retaining smaller openings than those used across the main ground-floor office elevations.

External finish and fitted specification

The exterior is finished in smooth dark grey cladding, giving the office a clean, professional appearance suitable for managed construction sites. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the profile simple and restrained. Adacon designs, manufactures and delivers the P600 system, with buildings delivered and installed across the UK.

Internally, the modules are supplied to a full fit-out standard for occupation once installation, site services and any required site-specific works are complete. The configuration includes the internal staircase and WC specified for this layout.

Indicative price

The indicative price is £32,250 excluding VAT, or £38,700 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification. This covers the three-module, two-storey building with the configured cladding, roof, door and window arrangement, internal staircase and WC. Delivery, groundworks and all site-specific works are quoted separately because access, distance, base requirements and service arrangements vary between construction sites. Lead time and siting

A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks from confirmed specification and order, subject to the production programme and the requirements of the individual project. Programme dates should be coordinated with site preparation, access planning and any separate groundworks.

The building requires a suitable prepared and level base, together with clear access for delivery and installation. The site team must also account for lifting operations, working space and connections for the WC and other required services. Ground conditions, drainage, utility routes and access restrictions should be established before installation, with any necessary groundworks or site-specific measures allowed for separately.
