A practical office layout for construction sites

This P600 configuration uses two 5.9m x 2.2m steel-framed modules arranged side by side in a grid layout. Together, they create a 5.9m x 4.4m footprint with approximately 24 m² of internal floor area. The two modules are linked to operate as one single-storey building, providing a compact but properly fitted base for main contractors, site managers and their teams.

The building is configured specifically as a site office for the construction sector. Its broad rectangular plan supports everyday administrative work, meetings and site coordination, while the included kitchenette and WC reduce reliance on separate facilities elsewhere on site.

    Module 1 layout and access

Module 1 forms the northern half of the building. Its exposed north-facing 5.9m wall contains the building’s single glazed entrance door, positioned between two small windows. This gives the main elevation a balanced arrangement and brings daylight into the office around the entrance.

Both exposed 2.2m end walls of Module 1 are fitted with two small windows. The east end has two small windows, and the west end has the same arrangement. The south wall connects internally with Module 2 and is therefore not treated as an exposed external elevation.

    Module 2 layout and glazing

Module 2 forms the southern half of the grid. Its exposed south-facing 5.9m wall has a large central window with one small window on either side. This is the principal glazed elevation and provides a wider outward view from the working area.

The east and west 2.2m end walls of Module 2 each have two small windows. Combined with the windows in Module 1, this gives the office glazing on every exposed side. Module 2’s north wall joins Module 1, creating the combined internal space.

    External finish and internal fit-out

The exterior is finished in smooth Anthracite cladding, giving the building a clean, restrained appearance suited to active construction environments. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the overall profile simple and compact.

The internal fit-out includes a kitchenette and WC as part of this specified configuration. These facilities make the building suitable for regular daily occupation as a management and administration base, without requiring separate office and amenity buildings.

    Price and programme

The indicative price is £21,500 ex VAT, or £25,800 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described here. This covers the two-module building with its stated external finish, roof form, door and window arrangement, kitchenette and WC. Delivery, groundworks and any site-specific works are quoted separately. Changes to the configuration or specification may affect the final price.

Typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, subject to specification confirmation, order timing and installation arrangements. The layout can also be reviewed through the P600 configurator where project-specific requirements need to be considered.

    Siting requirements

The building requires a level, suitably prepared base and clear access for delivery and installation. Ground conditions, access restrictions and the space available around the installation area should be established before delivery is arranged. Connections required for the kitchenette and WC, along with any other utilities, form part of the site-specific planning. Buyers should also establish the planning and compliance requirements that apply to their location and intended period of use.
