    Practical additional space for schools

    This P600 configuration combines two 5.9m x 2.2m steel-framed modules in a single-storey grid layout. Joined side by side, they create a 5.9m x 4.4m footprint with approximately 23 m² of internal floor area. The building is designed for primary and secondary schools expanding capacity and needing a defined, fully fitted addition rather than a temporary room with an unfinished interior. It is part of Adacon’s range of modular classrooms for the Education sector.

    Module-by-module layout

    Module 1 forms the north side of the building. Its exposed 5.9m north wall contains a large window, a single glazed entrance door and a second large window. This arrangement places the main entrance between the two principal window openings. The exposed 2.2m east and west ends each have one full-size window, bringing glazing to both ends of the module.

    Module 2 forms the south side and links directly with Module 1. Its exposed 5.9m south wall has two large windows. The exposed east and west ends each contain a full-size window. Across the complete building, the specified openings provide windows on all four external elevations, while access is through the single glazed door on the north elevation.

    Internal fit-out

    The standard fitted specification includes a kitchenette and WC within the approximately 23 m² interior. These facilities allow the classroom to operate with useful day-to-day support space inside the building. Their precise internal positioning and the relationship between teaching space, kitchenette and WC are confirmed as part of the project design, without changing the stated two-module footprint.

    Exterior finish

    The exterior is finished in smooth Dark grey cladding for a clean, understated appearance on a school site. A flat roof with slim fascia keeps the overall profile simple and compact. Adacon designs, manufactures and delivers the P600 system, with buildings delivered and installed across the UK.

    Price and standard specification

    The indicative price is £25,800 excluding VAT, or £30,960 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification. This covers the two P600 modules in the configuration described, including the specified Dark grey exterior, flat roof, glazed entrance door, windows, kitchenette and WC. Delivery, groundworks and any site-specific works are not included and are quoted separately once the location, access and site requirements are known.     Typical project programme

    A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks. The final programme depends on design confirmation, order timing and the requirements of the individual site. Delivery and installation dates are coordinated separately so that the prepared site and access arrangements are ready when the modules arrive.

    Siting requirements

    The building requires suitable prepared groundworks and a level base designed for the site conditions and module loads. Delivery vehicle access and sufficient space for unloading and installation must be established before delivery. The kitchenette and WC also require appropriate utility and drainage connections. Ground conditions, access restrictions, service routes and any other site-specific requirements are assessed and priced separately from the indicative building price.
