A compact office for active construction sites

This configuration provides a practical site office for main contractors, site managers and construction teams. It uses one P600 steel-framed module, measuring 5.9m x 2.2m, with approximately 11m² of internal floor area. The single-storey format keeps the building compact, straightforward to position and suitable for sites where office space is needed without a larger multi-module installation.

Module 1 layout

The complete building is contained within one ground-floor module. The internal fit-out combines the main office area with a kitchenette and WC, providing essential day-to-day facilities within the same footprint. This makes it suitable for site administration, meetings, document work and general management duties while reducing reliance on separate welfare or office units.

The north-facing 5.9m wall has three window openings: a small window, a large window and a second small window. On the opposite south-facing wall, the single glazed entrance door sits between two small windows. This arrangement gives the office a clearly defined entrance while introducing glazing on both long sides of the module.

Each 2.2m end wall has a large window. With windows on the north, east, south and west elevations, the office has glazing on every exposed wall. The precise orientation should be considered when the building is positioned on site, particularly where overlooking, privacy or proximity to working areas matters.

Exterior and internal fit-out

The exterior is finished with horizontal cladding in dark grey. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the overall appearance simple and well suited to a professional construction environment. Inside, the standard fitted specification for this configuration includes a kitchenette and WC. These facilities are integrated into the single module rather than requiring an additional linked unit. Any site service connections required for the kitchenette and WC must be assessed as part of the project-specific works.

Indicative price and scope

The indicative price is £10,750 excluding VAT, or £12,900 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification. This covers the one-module building in the stated configuration, including the dark grey external finish, specified glazed door and windows, kitchenette and WC.

Delivery, groundworks and site-specific works are quoted separately because access, distance, ground conditions and service requirements differ between construction sites. Any changes made through the P600 configurator may also affect the final price.

Lead time and siting requirements

A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, subject to order details, production scheduling and confirmation of the final specification. The delivery and installation programme should be coordinated with the wider site plan so that the module can arrive and be positioned safely without conflicting with ongoing construction activity.

The building requires a suitable, level and prepared base, together with clear access for delivery and installation equipment. The site must also allow enough working space around the proposed position. Groundworks, utility connections and other site-specific requirements should be established before delivery, while the buyer remains responsible for confirming any permissions or site rules that apply.
