A compact, practical retail building
This configuration uses one P600 module to create a compact modular shop for the Retail & Hospitality sector. Its 5.9m x 2.2m footprint provides approximately 11 m² of internal floor area, making it well suited to independent retailers, farm shops and pop-up operators. The building is arranged over a single storey, with no additional modules or upper floor to account for when planning the site.
Ground-floor layout
Module 1 contains the complete shop layout and the WC. The single-module format keeps the internal arrangement straightforward, giving the operator a practical retail area within a defined, manageable footprint. The WC is included as part of the internal fit-out, so it does not need to be housed in a separate building or additional module.
The north-facing 5.9m wall has two large windows. At the opposite side, the south-facing 5.9m wall combines a glazed double door with a large window on either side. Both 2.2m end walls are also exposed: the east end has a full-size window and the west end has a full-size window. This creates glazing on all four elevations, supporting product display, visibility and natural light throughout the shop.
Customer access and external finish
The glazed double door on the south elevation forms the main entrance and provides a wider opening than a single pedestrian door. Its position between two large windows gives this elevation a clear customer-facing frontage. The full-size end windows and two large north-facing windows extend visibility around the building, which is useful where customers may approach from more than one direction.
The exterior is finished with timber cladding in a timber-effect appearance. Above it, the flat roof is completed with a slim fascia for a clean, restrained roofline. The configuration is designed as a permanent-looking retail unit without increasing the footprint through canopies, terraces or other external additions.
Fit-out and indicative price
The indicative price is £12,900 excluding VAT, or £15,480 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification. This covers the configured single P600 module with its stated cladding, flat roof, doors, windows and internal WC. Retail counters, shelving, stock equipment and other operator-specific fixtures are not specified within this configuration and should be planned separately where required.
Delivery, groundworks and site-specific works are quoted separately. Final costs therefore depend on the delivery location, access conditions, required foundations, utility connections and any work needed to prepare the site. Programme and site preparation
A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, with the project programme confirmed for the individual order. Buyers can review the wider system through the P600 configurator, but the price shown here applies specifically to this one-module, single-storey shop configuration and its stated standard fitted specification.
The site must provide enough space for the 5.9m x 2.2m building, together with suitable access for delivery and positioning. A level, prepared base appropriate to the site conditions will be required. Drainage and service connections for the WC must also be established before installation. Ground conditions, delivery access, lifting requirements, utilities and any necessary permissions should be assessed as part of the site-specific planning process.
