A wide classroom configuration

This P600 configuration combines four 5.9m x 2.2m steel-framed modules in a wide, single-storey layout. Together, they form a footprint of 5.9m x 8.8m and provide approximately 46 m² of internal floor area. The format is intended for Education sector buyers, particularly primary and secondary schools adding classroom capacity. Module-by-module layout

The modules sit side by side to create the full 8.8m width. Each exposed end has a full-size window, giving the classroom windows along both the east and west elevations. The north and south elevations provide the main glazed features and entrance.

• Module 1: the exposed north wall has a large window, a single glazed door and a second large window. Its east and west ends each have a full-size window.
• Module 2: the east and west ends each have a full-size window.
• Module 3: the east and west ends each have a full-size window.
• Module 4: the south wall has two large windows, while the east and west ends each have a full-size window.

Entrance and natural light

The single glazed entrance door is positioned on the north elevation within Module 1, between two large windows. Two further large windows are positioned on the south elevation of Module 4. Full-size windows across both 8.8m end elevations provide additional glazing to every module, creating a classroom with windows on all four external sides.

External appearance

Horizontal timber-effect cladding gives the building a more considered appearance than a conventional temporary classroom. The flat roof is finished with a slim fascia, keeping the overall profile simple and suitable for school grounds. Internal fit-out

The standard fitted specification includes a kitchenette and WC within the approximately 46 m² internal area. Their final arrangement can be coordinated as part of the project design without changing the stated overall building footprint. The connected four-module format provides the width required for a practical teaching environment while keeping the accommodation on one accessible storey.

Price and programme

The indicative price is £43,000 ex VAT, or £51,600 including VAT, for the standard fitted specification described here. Delivery, groundworks and other site-specific works are not included and are quoted separately once the site requirements are known. A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, subject to design confirmation, order timing, production capacity and site readiness. The same arrangement can be reviewed in the P600 configurator.

Preparing the site

Before delivery, the site must be assessed for suitable positioning, prepared groundworks, service connections and safe installation access. There must be sufficient access for the delivery vehicles and the lifting or installation equipment required for the modules. Planning requirements, surveys, drainage, utility connections and any works outside the standard building specification remain site dependent. Adacon confirms these requirements and the separate costs after reviewing the proposed school site.
