    A wide, practical retail layout

Designed for modular shops, this P600 configuration places three 5.9m x 2.2m modules side by side to create a wide 5.9m x 6.6m footprint. The completed single-storey building provides approximately 37 m² of internal floor area, giving independent retailers, farm shops and pop-up operators a useful trading space without the proportions of a long, narrow unit.

The broad layout supports a clear retail floor with good visibility across the building. It can accommodate product displays, customer circulation and a service or payment area, subject to the final internal arrangement. A WC is included within the fit-out, providing an essential facility for staff and helping the building function as a self-contained retail premises.

    Doors and windows by module

Module 1 forms the northern side of the building. Its exposed north-facing 5.9m wall contains a large window, glazed double door and second large window. This creates the principal customer entrance and a strongly glazed frontage. The east and west 2.2m end walls each contain a further large window, bringing daylight into both ends of the module.

Module 2 sits in the centre of the wide arrangement. Its exposed east and west 2.2m ends each have one large window. These openings continue the glazing across both short elevations while the adjoining sides connect Module 2 to the two outer modules.

Module 3 forms the southern side. It has one large window in its east end and one in its west end. Two further large windows are positioned along the exposed south-facing 5.9m wall. Across the complete building, the specified arrangement therefore provides ten large windows and one glazed double entrance door, creating visibility from every exposed elevation.

    External finish and internal fit-out

The exterior is finished in black timber cladding, giving the shop a clear, contemporary appearance suited to rural retail sites, visitor destinations, commercial settings and temporary trading locations. A flat roof with a slim fascia keeps the roofline simple and restrained. The three steel-framed P600 modules are manufactured, delivered and installed by Adacon across the UK.

Internally, the building is supplied to the standard fitted specification, including the WC stated for this configuration. The indicative price is £32,250 excluding VAT, or £38,700 including VAT. This price applies to the three-module building in the standard fitted specification shown, including its configured openings, external finish, roof and internal fit-out. Delivery, groundworks and other site-specific works are quoted separately.

    Programme and site preparation

A typical lead time is 8–12 weeks, although the confirmed programme will depend on order timing, the final specification and site arrangements. The layout can be reviewed through the P600 configurator before the project details are finalised.

The site must provide suitable access for delivery vehicles and safe unloading and installation of the 5.9m modules. Appropriate foundations or prepared groundworks are required, together with any necessary utility connections and site permissions. Access constraints, levels, drainage, service routes and lifting requirements should be assessed before delivery. Adacon quotes delivery, groundworks and site-specific works separately so that the installation plan reflects the actual location.
